Legato Lens Limited Warranty

Effective Date: July 24, 2026 


Limited Warranty 
Legato Audio, Inc. (“Legato”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) warrants that prescription, reader, and plano lenses purchased from Legato and installed in Legato Frames will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original retail purchase date. Anti-reflective premium coatings provided on lenses purchased and installed by Legato are warranted for a period of two (2) years from the original retail purchase date.   


Additional benefits beyond warranty protection – namely progressive lens satisfaction guarantee, prescription change protection, and scratch protection – are also described herein.  


Covered Lenses 
Coverage is limited to lenses purchased directly from Legato and installed by Legato, and includes Pentax® or non-branded lenses purchased from Legato of any of the following types: 

  • Single vision, prescription lenses
  • Single vision, non-prescription/reader lenses
  • Progressive prescription lenses
  • Progressive non-prescription/reader lenses 
  • Plano lenses 


Coverage varies depending on the selected lens material or coating. 


Anti-Reflective Coating Warranty 
Premium anti-reflective coatings on lenses purchased from Legato are warranted against defective coatings for two (2) years. These anti-reflective coatings may be referred to as Pentax® Innocare, Innocare Plus, Innocare Blue. 


Progressive Lens Satisfaction Guarantee 
Within 120 days from the original retail purchase date, we will provide one (1) no-charge remake for fitting or lens design changes for a progressive lens. If adaptation remains unsuccessful, Legato may replace the progressive lenses with conventional single vision lenses. This progressive satisfaction guarantee applies to both prescription and non-prescription progressive lenses. One guarantee per progressive lens order.

  
Prescription Changes Protection 
If the prescribing eye care professional changes the prescription within 120 days from the original purchase date of the Legato Frames, we will provide one (1) no-charge replacement to your original lens.  To take advantage of this benefit, you must contact 
Legato via the Warranty Service process described below within 120 days of your original purchase date.   


Scratch Protection 
Lenses purchased from Legato are warranted against scratches from normal use for 24 months.  If your lenses are scratched from normal use within 24 months from the original purchase date, we will provide a one-time replacement for the lenses and coating, at no charge, providing the prescription remains the same in the same frame. The original lenses are required to be returned.  To take advantage of this benefit, you must contact Legato via the Warranty Service process described below within two (2) years of your original purchase date.


Warranty Claims 
To submit a warranty claim, customers must contact Legato Customer Support at 1-866-4LEGATO (1-866-453-4286) with a description of the issue. We may also require you to provide proof of purchase, return the product or lenses (at our expense), or provide photos of the product or lenses as part of the warranty claim process. 


Warranty Remedy 
Legato may repair, replace, or remanufacture covered lenses. Replacement lenses remain covered for the balance of the original warranty period. 


Exclusions 
Prescription changes outside the remake period, abuse, misuse, improper cleaning, heat or chemical damage, intentional damage, lost or stolen lenses, cosmetic wear not affecting vision, and frame style changes. 

Except as expressly stated, all implied warranties are disclaimed to the extent permitted by law. Legato is not liable for incidental or consequential damages except where prohibited by law. 


TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
